You can easily report other users by clicking on their profile picture in the chat. In the profile view, you will find a report button. Please note that due to the implemented P2P technology, no messages are stored on our servers, so we cannot review them either. If there is a serious violation, please contact the appropriate authority and provide them with the reported user ID. We can then provide the stored metadata upon request, so that the user can be identified.

Every chat on goonley runs as a direct peer-to-peer (P2P) connection between you and your goon buddy. In rare cases, technically skilled partners could use this to find out your IP address. 'Enhanced Security' routes your connection through a relay server, which hides your IP address and gives you extra anonymity. Establishing the connection may take a moment longer. We recommend enabling 'Enhanced Security' if you live in a country where your activities could be prosecuted.
